
Mr. Sobota has an Electrical Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Alberta and is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
Mr. Sobota is cofounder of Eleven, has over 11 years of product development experience, is a guest lecturer at the University of Alberta in product development, and has over 20 patent/design patent filings to his credit.

Phillip’s department handles new product development and applications development. This includes chip level, SiP level, and module level development. His department also manages development of the system-level firmware (operating software and signal processing algorithms) that runs on Eleven’s chips, SiPs and modules.

Mr. Broughton founded two fabless semiconductor companies prior to joining Eleven. He has extensive experience in real-time systems, and is a proponent of the guaranteed-service methodology which was adopted for the XInC family of baseband processors. He is an expert in high-performance, power-efficient computing. His background as a compiler writer was excellent preparation for his work on novel instruction-set architectures. Eleven also benefits from Mr. Broughton's knowledge of hearing physiology, psychoacoustics, and related digital signal processing techniques.

Mr. Young is formerly Executive Director of the Edmonton Space & Science Center. He is also the past Minister of Technology, Research and Telecom responsible for the Alberta Research Council, Alberta Government Telephones, and the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. During the same term, he also served as the Government House Leader responsible for organizing the progress of the government legislative program. Mr. Young also serves on the Board of the Local Authorities Pension Plan.

Greg Baker, currently the Senior VP Sales and Marketing at Mimix Broadband, has more than 20 years of experience in radio frequency component design, marketing, and sales. He's worked for a broad range of companies including Sirenza Microdevices, Fujitsu Microelectronics, ITT (GTC), and Hughes-Delco during his impressive career and has tackled numerous roles for these companies including VP International Sales, Senior director of Marketing, VP of Engineering, and General Manager. Greg matches his comprehensive industry experience with an impressive technical background having received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Masters of Science in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

Graduating as a professional engineer from Clarkson University in 1956, Mr. Thompson joined the PCL family of companies in 1967 as a project manager, later becoming President and Chief Executive Officer, and ultimately Chairman in 1997. He was instrumental in founding the Merit Contractors Association in Alberta, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Construction Association for eight years, and served as Chairman of the Regina Construction Association. Mr. Thompson is an active supporter of Alberta technology firms, serving on numerous boards.

Mr. Sobota brings to Eleven years of engineering and management experience from his prior employment with TransAlta Utilities Corporation.
